4030 The QUIKCLOT 4030 is QuikClot Control+® Hemostatic Dressing, 3-ply, 12 × 12 inch. It is a sterile, white to off-white nonwoven hydrophilic gauze impregnated with kaolin, an inorganic mineral that accelerates the body’s clotting cascade without an exothermic reaction and without animal or human proteins. Control+ is labeled for temporary control of internal organ-space bleeding in Class III or Class IV hemorrhage, and for severe surgical wounds and traumatic injuries. Cardiac labeling includes temporary control of mild to moderate bleeding in cardiac procedures, bone-surface bleeding after sternotomy, and suture-line bleeding. The dressing includes double X-ray indicators to aid detection and removal, and is packaged in a foil peel pouch for aseptic presentation. It is supplied individually and boxed 10 per box.
