SM0005-USA The BARD SM0005-USA is Arista™ AH Absorbable Surgical Hemostatic Powder, 1 gram, supplied in a bellows applicator container. Bard (now part of BD) designed Arista AH as a 100% plant-based powder using patented microporous polysaccharide hemosphere (MPH) technology. The powder is applied topically to the bleeding site. It draws fluid from blood, concentrates clotting factors, and forms a gel matrix to support hemostasis. It does not require mixing or refrigeration and is absorbed by the body, typically within 24 to 48 hours.
