Seprafilm Absorbable Adhesion Barrier 5" x 6"
4301-02 Seprafilm® Adhesion Barrier (4301-02) from BAXTER is a sterile, bioresorbable surgical membrane intended for use as an adjunct during abdominal or pelvic laparotomy procedures. The membrane is designed to help reduce the incidence, extent, and severity of postoperative adhesions between tissues and organs following surgery. Seprafilm® is composed of two anionic polysaccharides: sodium hyaluronate (HA) and carboxymethylcellulose (CMC). When placed between tissue surfaces during surgery, the translucent barrier temporarily separates adjacent tissues during the early stages of healing, helping to minimize adhesion formation.
