LPG1612 The ProGrip™ Laparoscopic Self-Fixating Mesh (LPG1612) by Covidien is a 16 × 12 cm monofilament mesh made from polyethylene terephthalate with polylactic acid microgrips, designed to provide tack-free fixation during laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair. The mesh is constructed from monofilament polyethylene terephthalate (PET) with integrated polylactic acid (PLA) microgrips that provide immediate mechanical fixation without the need for tacks or glue. Featuring a macroporous structure with a pore size of approximately 1.8 × 1.8 mm, the mesh supports tissue integration while maintaining flexibility and strength.
