LPG1612AR The ProGrip™ Laparoscopic Self-Fixating Mesh (LPG1612AR) by Covidien is a 16 × 12 cm monofilament polyester mesh with polylactic acid microgrips and a collagen film, designed to provide tack-free fixation during laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair. Constructed from monofilament polyester mesh with integrated monofilament polylactic acid (PLA) microgrips, ProGrip™ provides immediate mechanical fixation without the need for additional fixation devices. A collagen film facilitates handling and placement during laparoscopic procedures. The macroporous structure, with a pore size of approximately 1.8 × 1.8 mm, supports tissue integration while maintaining flexibility and strength.
