PHSM The ETHICON PHSM is the Medium PROLENE® Polypropylene Hernia System (PHS). It is a sterile, preformed, non-absorbable polypropylene mesh constructed as a bilayer device with an onlay patch, an underlay patch, and a connector. The Medium configuration measures 4.5 cm × 10 cm with a 1.9 cm × 1.3 cm connector. It is intended for open repair of inguinal and femoral hernias, providing posterior reinforcement through a simple anterior approach and three points of protection.
